Delta High-End PLC Series: AH500 and AS Series Leading Advanced Automation

Delta continues to deepen its presence in the high-end PLC sector by launching high-performance controllers, represented by the AH500 Series and AS Series. These products are designed to meet the stringent demands for computing power, reliability, and scalability in advanced applications.

1. AH500 Series: High-End Modular Controller
The Delta AH Series modular controllers provide complete automation system solutions for high-end applications. Featuring a fully modular design, the AH Series builds upon Delta's R&D technologies to offer advanced functionalities, supported by highly integrated software and interfaces.

Core Advantages:

1. Complete Redundant Architecture
The AH500 features a complete redundant architecture with dual CPUs, dual main backplanes, dual power supplies, and dual communication channels, along with regional expansion capabilities. In the event of a main controller failure, the backup controller can seamlessly take over within 20 milliseconds, ensuring "zero-interruption" system operation. Combined with a dual-fiber self-healing ring network, data can be efficiently uploaded to the monitoring center. The AH500 redundant CPU (AHCPU560-EN2) supports a data memory block of up to 8MB.

2. Industrial-Grade Environmental Adaptability
The AH500 is capable of operating across a wide temperature range, unaffected by temperature fluctuations. Its G3 protective coating meets dust and moisture resistance requirements, significantly reducing the risk of equipment aging in harsh environments.

3. Hot-Swappable Maintenance
Both the AH500 main unit and its associated modules are designed for hot-swapping, allowing faulty modules to be replaced without system shutdown. Once replaced, the new module automatically resumes normal operation.

4. High-Performance Motion Control
The AH500 boasts superior motion control capabilities, supporting 3-axis linear interpolation, 2-axis circular interpolation, 3-axis helical interpolation, and continuous interpolation. The AH Series also features a dedicated motion control CPU that connects to servo drives via an EtherCAT motion control network, enabling high-speed, high-precision machine control.

5. Large Capacity and High-Speed Processing
The AH500 Series CPU modules support up to 4,352 digital I/O points or 544 analog I/O points locally. Both the upgraded CPUs and redundant CPUs utilize high-speed 32-bit processors, achieving a processing speed of 12K steps/ms.

2. AS Series: High-Performance General-Purpose Controller
The Delta AS Series PLC is a high-performance, general-purpose controller specifically designed for automated equipment. Powered by Delta's proprietary 32-bit SoC CPU, it delivers a significant performance boost, reaching 40k steps/ms.

Core Specifications:

Supports expansion of up to 32 modules or a maximum of 1,024 I/O points.
Powerful positioning control, simultaneously supporting up to 8 axes via a CANopen motion network or 6 axes with 200 kHz pulse control.

3. DVP-ES3 Series: Third-Generation Standard High-End Controller
The DVP-ES3 Series is a programmable logic controller designed for advanced applications. The CPU features a high-speed 32-bit processor, a program capacity of 64k steps, 64k words of data registers, and a maximum of 256 I/O points. It comes with 4 built-in high-speed counters (each supporting up to 200 kHz), 4-axis (or 8-point) high-speed 200 kHz positioning outputs, and 8-axis bus (CANopen) communication-based positioning outputs. The CPU module supports IEC 61131-3 software programming (LD, ST, SFC, and CFC).
